Child Find

The Naugatuck Public School System is committed to providing children with disabilities from age three to twenty-one a free appropriate public education in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. School staff review concerns with parents, and where indicated, conduct a diagnostic evaluation to determine if a child is in need of special education services. If you know of a child who may be disabled and has not been identified by the school system, please ask the child's parents to contact the Naugatuck Public Schools, Department of Special Services at 720-5265.

Early intervention services are also available for children from birth to age three through various providers in the Naugatuck area. If you have a concern about a child in this age group, please call the Birth to Three Infoline at 1-800-505-7000 or visit the Birth to Three website @ www.birth23.org.
