Student of
the Month -(photos)
The Student of the Month award honors a boy and
a girl in each grade who have demonstrated a willingness to help others, have
provided a service to the school, and have performed as dedicated students.
Recognition for this honor, which is announced at a school assembly,
includes a letter of congratulations and an award dinner with parents in
attendance at the end of the school year.

Physical Best - photos
Once again, students in Hillside Middle School's physical education
classes will be competing for the Physical Best Award. It will be presented
at the end of each marking term to one boy and one girl from the seventh and
eighth grades. The selection process begins when, once a month,
students from each grade are nominated for the award. The marking term
winners are then chosen from these monthly nominees. All students are
eligible for this award. There are three requirements which must be
met.
1. 100% Preparation - Student must be properly prepared for physical
education classes.
2. 100% Participation - Student must participate in all P.E. classes to
the best of his/her ability.
3. Student demonstrates an improvement in physical fitness.
Nominees and winners are congratulated at a monthly assembly. These
students receive a certificate and a letter of congratulations. Winners
also receive a Physical Best T-shirt at the end of the school year.
