Welcome Parents and Students, 

As the new principal of Prospect Street School, I’d like to introduce myself and welcome you to our website.  I’m delighted to lead the outstanding team of talented educators and support staff that work diligently to provide a rigorous, supportive environment for children to grow academically and socially. 

Prospect Street School has earned a fine reputation as a child-centered community that works collaboratively with parents.  As you will see on our website, the P.S.A. (Parent-School Association) plays an integral role in supporting educational programs for our students.  Last year, the P.S.A. helped raise substantial funds to purchase Smart Boards (interactive technology devices) that help teachers make learning interactive and engaging for all students. 

We encourage you to visit our school and see, firsthand, how skilled teachers help children from kindergarten through fourth grade use comprehension strategies to make sense of fiction and nonfiction text, make connections, and apply their learning to mathematical applications.  Our school is an active place of learning where students ask questions, share their thinking, and discuss various points of view.  Learning is what we’re all about!
