The fourth grade classes at Prospect Street use a reward system for students.  As a grade level, each class will have a “banking system” whereby students can earn “money for demonstrating exceptional behavior and continuous hard work.  This is accomplished by receiving “bonuses” or “fines” on a daily basis.  Each student will maintain their own “checkbook” to keep track of the “money” they have earned.  Approximately two times each month, students will be able to “purchase” special activities or prizes with their “money”.
Here are the rules:

$1.00/day will be awarded for each day the student is in school.

$1.00/day will be awarded for each day that every student completes and hands in their homework on time.
BONUSES:
Class:
An additional  $.50 will be given to each member of the class if:
· The class receives a compliment from another adult in the building.
· The class walks quietly in the hall.
· The class demonstrates good behavior at any other time (this is at the teachers discretion).

Individual:
$.50 will be given to each student who completes and hands in all homework due that day.
$.25 will be given to each student who:
· Returns his/her Friday folder signed on Monday.
· Has not received any warnings for breaking classroom rules for the day.
· Demonstrates good behavior at any other time (this is at the teachers discretion).

FINES:

A fine of $.50 will be given if:
· The whole class behaves inappropriately.  (This is at the teacher’s discretion).
Some examples include:  too much talking in the halls, talking when a visitor enters our classroom, etc.
