4 Numbers To Twenty and Number Patterns |
Children
were introduced to teen numbers in Kindergarten. They counted and
worked with groups up to 20 objects, and explored the relative position
of one teen number to another. Topic 4 begins to build a foundation
for place value. Students will read and write teen numbers.
They will continue with pattern work and skip count by 2s.
Review
Help your child become more familiar
with a penny, nickel, and a dime. Make sure he/she knows what each
one is worth. Play a game and trade nickels and dimes into pennies,
dimes into nickels and pennies back into nickels and dimes. Review
o'clocks with your child. Then relate times they awake up, eat breakfast,
go to school, come home, eat dinner and go to bed with those times.
