CLASS NEWS

 
Reading
We are beginning our third book of Treasures.  We are introducing long a, s blends, ch, tch, wh digraphs, long i,and str-, spl- and scr-.  We will continue to work on story structure and we will make predictions. Later on we will compare and contrast and continue with our main idea and details of non-fiction materials.
Math
In Topic 5 we will be talking about writing number sentences to model situations that involve addition, learn about "turnaround" facts, Counting on by 1,2, and 3 to teen numbers, writing fact families and working with charts and graphs.
 
Writing
Daily - writing journal, reading
journal or worksheets
Homework
Please make sure your child completes and returns all homework assignments.
