The Maple Hill School family includes some students whose family members are being deployed to Iraq and they are helping to support our troops in the Middle East during the holidays. Students brought in donations that were placed in "goodie" bags that will be opened during the holiday season.  Toiletries, batteries, sunscreen, calling cards, power bars, and health products were just some of the items collected. Monetary donations were used for higher priced items and money collected from staff and faculty for Friday Dress Down Days paid for shipping the bags to Iraq. The project helped the students the true meaning of giving and may lead them to a penpal relationship with the service men and women.  In the photo, teachers and helpers pack the items for shipping.
