District Goals

1. Continue to develop and implement a K-12 standards-based curricula based on State and Federal guidelines.

·        Reflect skills needed for success in an information age

·        Identify programs and services that help all students meet those standards

·        Plan for ongoing and meaningful professional development that is directly tied to the standards and assessments

·        Track assessment data and benchmarks in each key area on a K-12 basis

3. In conjunction with the district's hardware technology plan, create a comprehensive software/instructional technology plan with specific indicators of success.

·        Provide appropriate technology access to all students to reach their goals for learning

·        Identify the strategies to deal with the implications of the information age on instruction and learning

·        Use resources to enhance parental and community involvement in the educational process

4. Develop a plan to attract and retain quality staff.

·        Increased retention of teachers and administrators

·        Higher number of applicants in the pool

·        Increased diversity in the applicant pool

·        Anticipation in areas of need

·        Increased ability to act on immediate needs
