In most instances, when we have to
evacuate a building, we will transport students home. If it is not possible or practical to send students home, we
will house students in a relocation site.
As an example, if we have a power outage in the early morning at one
elementary school but are assured power will be turned on by 8:30 AM, we may
bus those students directly to the relocation site and then return them to
their regular school when power is restored. If the relocation site is changed, we will put up notices at
the school, so that you will know where your children are.
It will be rare for us to use this
relocation plan. Students will
usually be dismissed early.
